The purchaser is required to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian of his or her choice, at his or her expense, within 72 hours of taking possession of the puppy. If this veterinarian examination is not done within the time limit, the purchaser forfeits all rights to replacement or refund if the puppy should become sick and die. Medical records will be provided at the time of purchase that will include all vaccinations and medications the puppy has received to this date. The puppy will have a microchip with the number listed on his/her registration papers and shot record. It is crucial that your veterinarian verifies this microchip number. This number will be the means of identification if any problems occur that makes replacement or refund necessary. The microchip must be read by a veterinarian if the puppy dies and the veterinarian must confirm that it is indeed the puppy that I sold.
The puppy is guaranteed against contagious diseases (for example, parvovirus or distemper) for one week from the date of purchase. This does not include a cold, pneumonia, hypoglycemia which is an illness, not a disease. The buyer agreees to notify me if the puppy becomes sick during this time period. If the puppy contracts a contagious disease, is treated for it by a licensed veterinarian, and dies even though measures were taken to treat the disease, the puppy will be replaced or the purchase price of the puppy will be refunded at the seller's discretion.
The puppy is guaranteed against any hereditary or congenital defect that would make it necessary to put the puppy to sleep until the age of one year. Proper documentation of such a condition must be provided to the seller from a licensed veterinarian fully explaining the condition which makes the euthanasia necessary. The buyer agrees to notify me, the seller, as soon as it is known that such a condition exists, before the puppy is euthanized. If such a condition does occur, the puppy will be replaced with one of equal value within a reasonable time period or the purchase price will be refunded, at the seller's discretion.
The puppy is not guaranteed to be a certain size or color when grown. I also cannot guarantee that he/she can or will breed and produce puppies. Other features that are not guaranteed are nasal passages, patellas, testicles, underbite, overbite, joints, or allergies.
Please puppy proof your home in the same way you would child proof your home. Puppies will chew on everything, even electric cords and poisonous plants. Please keep these and any other dangerous items out of the puppy's reach. Also, take precautions around water since most Frenchies do not swim. If something is a danger to a child, it could also be a danger to a puppy.
If at any time you are unable to continue caring for your puppy/dog, please contact me. I will be glad to take the puppy back, if it is reasonable to do so in regard of distance. If the distance is too great, I will attempt to help you find someone who is willing to take the puppy/dog. Please do not send your puppy/dog to a pound where it is almost sure to be put to sleep. There are many rescues available that will care for your animal if you are no longer able to do so. I would also encourage your to have your puppy spayed or neutered to avoid any unwanted or unplanned litters of puppies.
THE SELLER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VETERINARIAN BILLS THAT ARE INCURRED AT ANY TIME AFTER THE PUPPY IS SOLD.
