Our kennel was started in 2002. It has been quite a journey that is always changing. I will try to explain how and why we decided to begin our kennel.
We had always had dogs as pets while our children were growing up. We enjoyed them and they were like a part of our family. At about the time the kids were growing up and trying to leave home, the dogs were becoming older and older and one by one they left us. The last one to die was Yappy. She was a mixed breed part miniature schnauzer that the whole family just adored. When we lost her, Dale and I decided no more dogs. However, after a year or so we knew we really missed our four legged kids. We also knew that at some point in the future we wanted to retire from our regular jobs, but we would need to supplement our retirement income. After alot of thought we decided raising puppies would be an enjoyable way to make the extra income we would need and take care of missing having our dogs around. Then came the hard part............deciding what breeds we wanted in our kennel.
The first puppy we bought was a beautiful little black and white Papillon female, Lilly. She is wonderful. She is retired now, but she still rules the roost and keeps everyone in line around here. We tried several different breeds through the years and have had many favorites. We love the Papillons and they will always be special to me. French Bulldogs (Frenchies) are quickly becoming my new favorite breed. They are absolutely amazing. If there was ever a breed that has it all it is the Frenchie. They are calm, comical, easy maintanence, and fabulous personality. We are thrilled to have them as part of our family.
